How we build

A custom website that works the way your business works

Maybe you currently run on a standard website, a few separate tools and a spreadsheet that has to hold it all together. It works, but it costs you hours every week that you would rather spend on your clients.

And maybe you have heard that websites are built with AI these days. Faster and more affordable, but is it reliable? That is a good question.

On this page you can read what a custom website can do for your business. And how we make sure it does not just look good, but is also secure, reliable and easy to find.

Why custom

The power of custom

Your website adapts to you, not the other way around

With a standard website you bend your way of working to what the template can do. With custom it is the reverse. Your website follows how you work: how clients come in, how you write quotes, how you plan appointments.

Everything in one place

Requests, client data, bookings, payments and the tools you already use come together in one system. No more copying data from one place to another. Less manual work, fewer mistakes and a clear overview at all times.

Grows with your business

You start with what you need today. When your business grows, you build on what is already there. No starting over, no switching to another system.

Built to be found

Findability is part of it from day one, not something bolted on afterwards. That way you are found in Google and in AI search tools such as ChatGPT.

Custom is now within reach

For a long time custom work was only for large companies with large budgets. With Lovable we build in weeks what used to take months. That makes a website that fits exactly within reach for smaller businesses too.

Building with AI

Vibe coding with Lovable: where does it go wrong?

Lovable is powerful. You describe what you want, and shortly after there is a working website or app. That means anyone can make something that looks good.

There is even a name for it: vibe coding. You let AI build a website and never look at the code yourself. As long as it works, it is fine.

But what you see is only part of a website. What sits underneath decides whether your site is secure, whether your emails arrive, whether Google can find you and whether anyone notices when something goes wrong. You do not see that part, until something breaks.

This is not theory. In 2025 security researchers examined more than 1,600 projects built with Lovable. In 170 of them, customer data could be retrieved without logging in. The security was there, but it was not set up correctly.

We work with AI, but we do not let AI do everything.

Vibe coding is building with AI without looking at the code. We do look. AI does what it is good at: building fast. The thinking, checking and deciding is done by us.

We have been building websites and systems for more than 25 years. We use Lovable to build faster, not to think less. Every site we make is built and checked against fixed standards. Below you can read how we handle each part.

Part by part

How we make sure it is right

01

Code quality

Why it matters

Sloppy code works fine today, but breaks with the next change. Or every change becomes harder and more expensive.

What we do

Every site starts with a well thought out data model, so your system can grow without having to be rebuilt later. We read and check the code AI writes, and clean it up where needed.

Components are built properly once and reused everywhere. Connections to things like payments and email are built so that an outage on the other side does not take your whole site down.

Every change is tested in a separate test environment first, and only then goes live. And the code is written in standard technology, so another developer can always pick it up.

What you notice

Changes are quick and free of surprises. Your live website keeps working while improvements are being made.

Good code prevents many errors, but no website is completely free of them. That is why we also keep an eye on the live website itself. More on that further down.

02

Security

Why it matters

Small businesses get attacked too, often precisely because they do not expect it. Usually it is not a hacker targeting you, but automated programs scanning the entire internet for weak spots.

What we do

  • Data is shielded per user. A client only sees their own data, never someone else's. We check that this actually works, not just that it is switched on.
  • Secret keys for connections, such as your payment or email system, are never in the code visitors can see.
  • Forms are protected against spam and abuse. Bots are blocked invisibly, without your visitors having to solve puzzles.
  • Every site is checked for security issues on a regular basis.

What you notice

Nothing. And that is exactly the point. No spam in your inbox, no fake requests and no worries about who can access your data.

03

Data

Why it matters

Your clients' data is the most valuable thing you have. And you are responsible for keeping it safe.

What we do

  • By default we choose a database in Europe, so your data falls under European privacy rules (GDPR).
  • Only what is truly needed gets collected. Less data means less risk.
  • You can have your data exported at any time.
  • Error reports and log files contain no personal data of your clients.
  • We keep up with new legislation, such as the European AI Act, and take it into account in how we build.

What you notice

You can tell your clients with confidence where their data is stored and how it is handled.

04

Hosting and backups

Why it matters

Your website needs to be available at all times, including when it is busy. And if something does go wrong, you want to be able to go back to how it was. Without losing your work or your clients' data.

What we do

  • Your platform runs on a secure hosting environment set up specifically for modern web apps, with an encrypted connection (SSL).
  • Your domain runs through Cloudflare, which adds protection against attacks and overload.
  • A backup of your data is made automatically every day.
  • The code of every site is also stored in its own private repository on GitHub, with the full history of every change. If something goes wrong, we restore an earlier version.
  • We keep the underlying technology up to date, so your platform stays secure and fast.

What you notice

Your website is simply always available. And should something go wrong, there is always a way back.

05

Email

Why it matters

A confirmation, quote or invoice that lands in the spam folder costs you clients and trust. Often you do not even notice. Your client simply thinks you are not responding.

What we do

Standard emails, such as confirmations and notifications, are sent through Lovable. Your domain is set up so that recipients can verify the email really comes from you.

When more is needed, such as sending attachments or larger volumes, we use our own email service. It sends from its own fixed address that we share with no one. On shared mail servers, another sender's behaviour can cause your email to be marked as spam too. With your own address, that does not affect you.

What you notice

Your emails land in the inbox, from your own name and domain, with everything that needs to be included.

06

Findability in Google and AI search

Why it matters

A beautiful website nobody finds achieves nothing. And more and more people do not just search Google, but ask ChatGPT or another AI search tool.

What we do

Every site gets a strong technical foundation for SEO and AEO by default:

  • Pages that search engines can read in full. Many websites made with Lovable miss this, so Google only sees part of the content.
  • A clear structure of pages, titles and descriptions.
  • The right background information for Google and AI search tools, so they understand who you are and what you do.
  • Fast loading times.
  • A connection with Google Search Console, so you can see how you are being found.

If you then want to actively rank higher, optimisation is a separate service. Think of research into what your clients search for, content that matches it and ongoing measuring and adjusting.

What you notice

Your website is ready to be found from the very first day. And when you want to grow, you build on it without having to fix anything first.

07

Speed and performance

Why it matters

Visitors do not wait. If your website loads slowly, they leave before they have seen what you offer. Google knows this too, and shows fast websites before slow ones.

What we do

  • Images are compressed and loaded in the right size. A phone gets a smaller image than a large screen.
  • Pages are prepared in advance, so content appears instantly instead of being assembled in the browser first.
  • Only what is needed at that moment gets loaded.
  • It is fast behind the scenes too. Overviews and dashboards stay quick, even as more and more data enters your system.
  • We measure speed with the same metrics Google itself uses, and improve wherever we can.

What you notice

Your website opens fast, on every phone and every computer. Visitors stay longer, and you see that in your enquiries.

08

Testing

Why it matters

A small change in one place can unexpectedly break something somewhere else. A form that no longer sends, a button that does nothing, a page that behaves differently on your phone than on your laptop. Manual testing checks the most important things, but never everything and never every time.

What we do

We increasingly rely on automated testing. Tests run through your website automatically, exactly the way a visitor would:

  • Do all pages load properly, on computer and phone?
  • Do forms, logging in and other key steps still work?
  • Do the emails that need to go out actually arrive?
  • Does everything that worked before still work after the latest change?

These tests run again with every change, fully and in the same way each time. They do not get tired and do not skip anything. That is how they catch errors that manual testing easily misses. And with every project they become more extensive and better.

What you notice

Changes go live with the certainty that the rest of your website keeps working.

09

Monitoring and error handling

Why it matters

Sooner or later every website runs into an error. A browser that behaves slightly differently, a connection that briefly stalls, a situation nobody foresaw. The difference is who sees it first: you, your client or us.

What we do

On top of Lovable's standard checks we use external tools that watch the live website itself. When a visitor runs into an error, we get notified right away. Including the information needed to see what happened. Then a fixed approach follows:

  1. The report is assessed: how serious is it and who is affected?
  2. The cause is tracked down and fixed.
  3. The fix is tested first.
  4. Only then does it go live.

If something goes wrong at one of the platforms your site runs on, we step in right away. For example by replacing keys and checking whether anything happened to your data.

What you notice

Problems are often solved before a client runs into them. And if something is going on, you hear it from us, not from your clients.

Frequently asked questions

Is a website built with AI reliable?

Yes, if it is built properly. Lovable produces real code in the same modern technology large companies use. AI makes building faster, but quality depends on who builds and checks it. That is why we build every site to fixed standards for code, security, data, email, findability and speed, and test as much as possible automatically.

What is vibe coding?

Vibe coding is building software with AI, for example with Lovable, without looking at the code yourself. It is fast and accessible, but without checks you miss problems in security, findability and reliability. We build with AI too, but we check everything.

Is vibe coding with Lovable safe?

Not by itself. Lovable builds fast and well, but security has to be properly checked. In 2025, research into more than 1,600 Lovable projects showed that in 170 of them customer data could be retrieved without logging in. That is why we test on every site whether security actually works, not just whether it is switched on.

Can you check my own Lovable site?

Yes. If you built a site with Lovable yourself, we review its security, data, email and findability and improve what is needed. You remain the owner of your project.

Who owns my website?

Your content, client data and business data are yours from day one, and you can export them at any time. The code and the system itself also become fully yours after two years of hosting and maintenance with us, including source code and database.

Will I become dependent on you?

No. Your website is built in modern, standard technology that many developers know, without a closed platform or third party licences. Once the system is yours, any developer who works with this technology can take it over. You can then also choose where it runs.

How does maintenance work?

If you want something changed or added, you let us know and we pick it up. Every change is tested before it goes live. Hosting, security, monitoring, updates and small changes are covered by the hosting and maintenance plan. New features are billed hourly or through a bundle of hours, always agreed in advance.

What happens if something breaks?

The live website is monitored, so an error reaches us right away. Often it is fixed before you or your clients notice anything.

Where is my clients' data stored?

By default we choose a database in Europe, in line with European privacy rules. Only what is needed is stored and backups are made every day.

Built fast, solid under the hood

A custom website gives you the freedom to work the way you want. With AI that freedom has become faster and more affordable than ever. But we do not let AI do everything. With more than 25 years of experience, we make sure that what sits underneath is just as good as what you see.
