Migrated from WordPress to a modern platform, with Substack subscriptions as the access key.

Coverjunkie is the world's largest magazine cover archive — a fixture since 2010 for anyone interested in cover design. The site ran on WordPress, where adding covers was cumbersome and management in general was a chore. On top of that, owner Jaap Biemans wanted the site to be exclusive to his Substack subscribers, bringing his content and audience closer together.
The need: a new technical foundation beyond WordPress's limits, an automated link between Substack subscriptions and site access, and simpler management for adding new covers.
The site was fully migrated to a new platform with a direct Substack integration and simplified management.
Site access is now fully tied to Substack subscriptions, with no manual work. Adding covers takes much less effort than in the old WordPress environment. A technical foundation no longer boxed in by a WordPress theme.
We migrate existing sites off WordPress without losing content or history. We wire content platforms like Substack directly into access control on the site. Simplifying admin for content-driven sites with a large, growing archive.
“I can't recommend Laura Lisa highly enough. She built my websites and seamlessly integrated everything with Substack, making what could have been a complicated process feel remarkably simple. Laura is highly skilled, incredibly approachable, and always willing to think beyond the brief. She consistently came up with thoughtful suggestions and smart solutions that improved the final result. Communication was easy, deadlines were met, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. It's rare to find someone who combines technical expertise with such a collaborative and positive attitude. A true pleasure to work with. AAA+++”
